The developer has lodged the application for the development of the Football Stadium and Related Warehousing at Junction 12 in Toddington. The height of the stadium is estimated to be 25 meters high and with a vast area of warehousing it threatens to double the size of Toddington. This threatens to be the start of an attempt to merge our village with Harlington.
The application is available for viewing online by clicking HERE.
The letter Writing Campaign (Letters dropped off at the doors of the residents of Toddington to complete and send to the Council) has been a great success.
There have been over 1,500 individual letter objections signed out of the High street shops and signed into South Beds District Council. This does not include letters posted directly to the council. This is a massive response and will have an major impact on the planner’s decision.
Thanks needs to go to: David Griffiths, John Miles and Betty Harper, for the organisation of the Letter Campaign; those who activated the letter deliverers; the letter deliverers (street helpers); the shops that acted as letter collection points (Punch the Opticians, Nisa, and the Hardware store); the letter collectors; and the residents who wrote their objections and stood up for the cause
CAST needs money to fight this development to pay for planning expertise and lawyers. Please visit our DONATE page to donate with a credit or debit card. Alternatively if you prefer to set up a standing order for £5-£20 per month, please visit the CASH (Campaign for a sustainable Harlington) website. http://www.cash-harlington.org.uk/mandate.doc
